Praia da LuzPraia da Luz lies a few kilometers west of Lagos and is perfect for those who want a peaceful, low-key, beach holiday without all the razzmatazz of the big popular resorts. LagosAt the heart of Lagos lies the marina and fishing port. The freshly caught fish are brought from the port to the modern fish market. The streets are line with restaurants and cafe, for you to rest in while walking through its ancient streets. BurgauBurgau is west of Praia da Luz and is again a friendly and peaceful village. Its on the edge of a national park and is still a working fishing village. Its sandy beach is ideal for families. There are several restaurants which all have views overlooking the bay. |
SalemaFurther west from Burgau lies the small fishing village of Salema. Its reminiscent of a small Cornish fishing village. There is a large sandy beach and several restaurants. Access to Salema is via the beautiful coast road from Burgau or from the main EN125, down an old river valley. |
